Consulting Services in Standards and Methodology
Every software development organization needs a body of standards, conventions, guidelines,
procedures, and recommended practices, i.e. a methodology for software development. IDI
assists organizations not only in developing (or choosing) components of their methodology but
also in establishing the infrastructures for disseminating and administering it. In areas of our
specialty, we contribute and recommend specific content that supports the highest quality of end
product without imposing burdensome restrictions on the professional staff.
We avoid both standards committees and authoritarian packaged methodology. For most
professional organizations we strongly favor the highly participative approach
to continuous process improvement described in the
